FINRA Sanction: Egber Refused to Provide Information

In April 2024, FINRA initiated a disciplinary action against Mr. Egber. According to a disclosure on his BrokerCheck profile, the regulator alleged that he refused to cooperate with an investigation into allegations of “possible theft of client funds.” In addition to failing to produce documents and information requested by FINRA, the disclosure notes, he also allegedly refused to appear for requested on-the-record testimony. As a result, FINRA indefinitely barred him from associating with any member firm in any capacity.

Pending Dispute Alleges Failure to Return Funds

In March 2024 an investor lodged a dispute involving Mr. Egber. The claimant specifically alleged that they made an outside real estate investment through Mr. Egber, and that the funds they invested “were not returned.” The dispute, which remains pending, seeks $135,000 in damages.

Firm Settled Past Dispute

The above-described pending dispute is not the only one described on Mr. Egber’s BrokerCheck profile. In February 2024, another party of investors filed a dispute alleging that they made an outside investment through him and that their funds “were not returned.” His former member firm settled the dispute for $98,736.
