This post contains additional information about the disputes involving Mr. O’Braitis, the president of Landsdowne Private Wealth Management. The details below are sourced from his BrokerCheck profile, a Financial Industry Regulatory Authority record examined on January 16, 2025.
Between 2016 and 2024, three parties of investors lodged disputes involving Mr. O’Braitis that his member firms denied. These disputes included allegations that he made unsuitable recommendations, misrepresented and omitted material facts, and mismanaged IRA accounts. Between them, the claims sought $217,085 in alleged damages before they were denied by his current or former member firms.
The above-described investor disputes are not the only ones in Mr. O’Braitis’ past. As his BrokerCheck profile reflects, another investor lodged a claim involving him in 1999. In this case, the dispute included allegations that he mishandled the account. His former member firm settled the allegations for $62,500.
Even before the 1999 dispute, another investor filed a claim involving Mr. O’Braitis in 1994. This dispute laid out allegations of misrepresentation and omission of facts, suitability violations, negligence, fraud, and breach of contract. The allegations evolved into an arbitration proceeding before an NASD panel, which issued an award to the claimant totaling $19,280.
As his BrokerCheck profile reflects, Mr. O’Braitis is the president and chief investment strategist of Lansdowne Private Wealth Management. That firm’s website[2] features a section outlining its mission to help investors “take a proactive approach” to their finances. “We serve as our clients’ personal Chief Financial Officer, and ensure their overall financial goals are met in a responsible way,” the section reads, through the combination of comprehensive financial planning, active portfolio management, and risk mitigation.”

He joined his current broker-dealer firm, Cambridge Investment Research, in 2014. Still at the firm today, he is based at its office in Lansdowne, Virginia.
