MDF Law is investigating the Indianapolis-based financial professional, formerly a broker with Triad Advisors, for similar conduct. Current or former customers who suffered losses in their accounts should call us to discuss potential recovery options.
The following post offers additional detail about Mr. Just’s history as a broker and adviser. The information herein is based on a January 20, 2025 review of his BrokerCheck record, a Financial Industry Regulatory Authority profile.
Between 2023 and 2024, three parties of investors lodged disputes involving Mr. Just. All three allege that he recommended unsuitable investments, while one also alleges that he provided incomplete disclosures. The disputes, which are still pending, seek at least $330,000 in alleged damages.
Since 2018, 13 parties of investors have filed disputes that Mr. Just’s former member firm settled. These claims included allegations of unsuitable recommendations, over-concentration, misrepresentation, and excessive fees. They stemmed from investments including variable annuities and REITs. His former member firm settled the claims for more than $640,000 in total.
On May 18, 2021, FINRA filed a disclosure regarding a disciplinary action it undertook against Mr. Brown. According to the disclosure, the action alleged that he failed to disclose state tax liens. More specifically, it alleged that he was aware of the liens more than 30 days before he disclosed them. Though he did not admit to or deny the findings, Mr. Just consented to a fine of $5,000 and a 30-day suspension.
As his BrokerCheck profile reflects, Mr. Just is the president of The Just Company, an investment adviser firm. That company’s website features a bio[2] of Mr. Just that outlines his work servicing physicians, business owners, and other clientele. “He specializes in empowering retirees to maximize their income, enhance their quality of life, and leave a meaningful legacy for future generations,” the bio reads. “Mark was named a Five Star Wealth Manager in Indianapolis Monthly Magazine, a designation reserved for advisors with the highest level of client satisfaction.”

Over the subsequent decades, he went on to work with a variety of firms, including Delta Equity Services Corporation and Royal Alliance Associates. He joined Triad Advisors’ Indianapolis office in 2004, remaining there until his departure in 2021. Since 2022, he has been an investment adviser with The Just Company in Indianapolis, per his SEC profile[3]. Boasting 41 years of experience as a broker and/or investment adviser, he has completed eight industry exams, including the Series 24 and the Series 66.
