To learn more about Mr. Lamb’s record as a broker, continue reading this post. The following information can be found in his BrokerCheck profile, a Financial Industry Regulatory Authority record examined on January 21, 2025.
In 2024, two parties of investors filed disputes involving Mr. Lamb. In both cases, the claims alleged that he recommended unsuitable alternative investments. His former member firm settled one dispute for $110,000 and the other for $100,000.
The above-described disputes are not the only ones in Mr. Lamb’s history. In 2024, eight other parties of investors lodged claims involving him. Each claim alleges that he recommended unsuitable alternative investments, though they do not specify the products in question. The disputes, which are still pending, seek more than $1.2 million in alleged damages.
According to his BrokerCheck profile, Mr. Lamb issued statements denying the allegations in the settled and pending disputes involving him. In each case, he wrote that he did not make any investment recommendations or sales to the customer, and did not meet or speak with them. “This customer purchased a product that failed and many claimants attorneys recruited customers who made those purchases to sue,” he asserted further. “I am only being named, along with some others, because my former broker dealer went out of business and this customer must have found my name formerly associated with that firm.” Concluding the statements, he described the claims as illegitimate.
As his BrokerCheck record reflects, Mr. Lamb is a broker with Arete Wealth. That firm’s website[2] includes a page describing its services as a broker-dealer and investment adviser with $7.3 billion assets under management. “We exist with one main focus: to offer comprehensive wealth management that builds favorable financial futures for our investors, clients and partners,” the page reads. “Arete Wealth has been helping advisors and investors achieve their wealth goals since 2007, and throughout our growth, our core value of excellence through intellect and integrity has never wavered.”
Mr. Lamb launched his career as a broker in 1999, when he registered with IDS Life Insurance Company’s office in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Over the following years, he went on to work with firms including ProEquities and Center Street Securities. Having left Center Street in 2023, he is currently a broker at Arete Wealth Management’s office in Nashville, Tennessee. Boasting 24 years of experience as a broker, he has completed seven industry exams, including the Series 51 and the Series 24.
