Los Angeles Broker Dennis Ayre Barred by FINRA following Foresight Energy Complaints

FINRA recently announced that Dennis Ayre (CRD 5365176) was permanently barred for failing to cooperate in an investigation following complaints over Foresight Energy.  Ayre was last registered with Hilltop Securities in Beverly Hills.  Prior to that he was registered at Oppenheimer & Co., Inc.  and Integrated Advisors Network. The following information is based on records received from FINRA on March 17, 2022.

Complaints Related to Foresight Energy L.P.

According to FINRA, Dennis Ayre is currently the subject of five pending investor arbitrations.  The complaints seek many millions of dollars related to Ayre’s overconcentration of their accounts in Foresight Energy LP.  According to FINRA, some of the investors purchased Foresight Energy while Ayre was associated with Oppenheimer and Integrated Advisors Network.  One investor is seeking over $5 million in damages and another is seeking $1 million.  

FINRA: Dennis Ayre’s Clients Already Paid over $2 Million in Settlements

According to records from FINRA, some investors have already been paid settlements based on Dennis Ayre’s recommendation of Foresight Energy LP.  These settlements already exceed $2 million in total according to public records reviewed by MDF Law.
